INTRODUCTION: Cervical pain is an increasing global health issue, with a prevalence of 20% and a persistence rate of up to 50% after one year. The weakness of the deep cervical flexors has been identified as a relevant factor in the etiology of this pain, making their assessment essential for an adequate clinical approach. AIMS: The general aim is to validate a new tool for assessing the endurance of the deep cervical flexors. This involves determining an optimal pressure for the Stabilizer test and obtaining reference values for it. Additionally, the study aims to explore potential differences between genders and between assessment surfaces to analyze all possible variables. MATERIAL AND METHODS: A cross-sectional descriptive observational design is employed. A sample of individuals aged between 18 and 65 years from the student population of Miguel Hernández University is estimated. Two sessions are designed, including a test for fatigue and variability of the Stabilizer, a measuring device that uses a manometer to evaluate and provide feedback on the pressure exerted, and finally a session to obtain normal values in a healthy population. RESULTS: Significant differences are anticipated between evaluations on a treatment table and mat, as well as gender differences. The study expects to establish an optimal pressure and obtain reference values for the test with a correlation to the Cervical Disability Index. This study will provide a solid foundation for future research and clinical applications.
