The main objective of this work is to research and acquire information about Burnout Syndrome in the aviation sector, based on scientific articles from the fields of psychology and medicine. Firstly, the concept of work stress and burnout has been delimited in the introduction, as well as the differences between both disorders and their relationship with the aviation sector, air traffic controllers (CTA). These articles have been selected from the databases: Dialnet, Wos and Scopus. An exhaustive search has been conducted with a total of 1,628 articles found, which finally applying the inclusion and exclusion criteria resulted in 5 articles in total. Regarding the results, it is concluded that stress and Burnout syndrome have a characteristic symptomatology in workers in this sector, tending to be chronic if not intervened; likewise, most CTAs present this type of symptoms, and it is related to the high demands of the job. On the other hand, programs that prevent stress and burnout can be of great help to reduce your symptoms and prevent sick leave. One way to do this is by managing the physical, emotional, and cognitive load of work in CTAs.
