The main objective of this study is the detection of trends in the fashion market, involving creative business opportunities in relation to crafts, the "Do it yourself" (Handmade) and customization (Personalization) of products; and the demand that generates this kind of product by consumers motivated by a change in lifestyle and purchasing behavior. The spirit of "Do it yourself" goes beyond the physical product, that points to the added value to the production process or modification thereof, and how to carry it out for a unique product that meets the needs, wishes and preferences, of each consumer. All this is possible with a
concerted effort in the environment, social setting, and promoting personal development and self-esteem. In this study, a general discussion about entrepreneurship in Spain and specifically in the Valencian Community is made, in order to put the textile sector in the Community, and to realize the importance and current status of this market. To orient ourselves in the fashion market, defined concepts in this field have been made, in order to understand and identify current trends and fashions emerging regarding the customization and "Do it yourself" (Handmade) in textiles, and to identify several business models. On the one hand , companies selling materials for handmade products ; on the other hand , blogs , books , videos, channels, and applications that provide ideas and information on the steps to follow up, or improve any product oneself ; and finally, organizations dedicated to workshops and fairs that offer training relating to how, and with what to do it with; in pleasant surroundings and sharing ideas with like, minded people who share their thoughts and experience, and seek to change conventional life styles
