The objective of this final degree project is to carry out an investigation, analysis and comparison of the different cinematographic works in relation to what we call the original work, which is the one written by Arthur Conan Doyle in 1901 The Hound of the Baskervilles. Arthur Conan Doyle's book The Hound of the Baskervilles was chosen for later comparison with the audiovisual works of The Hound of the Baskervilles (1939), directed by Sidney Lanfielf; The Hound of the Baskervilles (1959), directed by Terence Fisher; The Hound of the Baskervilles (1983), directed by Douglas Hickox; and episode two of season two of the Sherlock series, called “The Hounds of Baskerville”. In the results section, it will be observed that although generally the main characters in this story do not have significant modifications, the stories themselves can be greatly altered depending on the adaptation in which we focus. The creators of each work have wanted to give a different character to their story in favor of cinematographic narration, when a written story passes into images, modifications are necessary.
