Abstract

El libro "Prensa española y género femenino. Antes, durante y después del primer Ministerio de Igualdad", escrito por Jesús Mula, profesor del Instituto Mediterráneo de Estudios de Protocolo (IMEP), y publicado por la editorial Aula Magna-McGraw Hill, se presenta como una obra fundamental para comprender la evolución de la representación de la mujer en la prensa española a principios del siglo XXI. A través de un análisis exhaustivo de portadas de diarios nacionales durante cinco años, Mula explora el tratamiento informativo de la mujer, la conciencia de igualdad de género en la prensa, y cómo esta última ha contribuido (o no) a un necesario cambio de mentalidad en la sociedad española.

The book "Spanish Press and Female Gender. Before, during, and after the first Ministry of Equality", written by Jesús Mula, a professor at the Mediterranean Institute of Protocol Studies (IMEP), and published by Aula Magna-McGraw Hill publishing house, ispresented as a fundamental work to understand the evolution of the representation of women in the Spanish press at the beginning of the 21st century. Through an exhaustive analysis of covers of national newspapers over five years, Mula explores the informational treatment of women, the awareness of gender equality in the press, and how the latter has contributed (or not) to a necessary change in mentality in Spanish society.
