With the arrival of AI in the education system, a literature search is carried out to analyse the implicit consequences of the use of this technology in education and its impact on the different key competences defined in the LOMLOE law. To this end, the different results of each study are analysed and related to the modules in which AI intervenes in each competence. With the existing technologies, the advantages and disadvantages of their use and possible future application tools, the conclusions of the research are drawn. These conclusions are positive, extracting more advantages than disadvantages from each competence, although they must always be accompanied by a human tutor to guide the students' education and correct the negative consequences of AI. Following the analysis, a practical proposal is described for 2ndESO students using AI tools. In the first activity, personal, social and learning to learn competences are measured, as well as other key competences, based on the development of discovery learning. To do so, students analyse one of the different STEAM topics (the parabolic shot, the eukaryotic or prokaryotic cell, the lymphatic system...), make a presentation and answer some questions. In the second part of the proposal, they are provided with an informative article on the previously studied topic where they have to summarise and draw some conclusions with or without the use of a chatbot where they are assessed on the basis of a rubric of competence in linguistic communication
