This task aims to analyze the scope of effective equality between women and men in the judicial career which is intended to be achieved through the application of all existing regulations and the implementation of appropriate measures by the judiciary at the proposal of this and other entities.
The aim of this report is to verify whether gender inequality effectively exists in the judicial field or, on the contrary, there is no gender gap. For a few years and until today, equality has undergone a constant evolution in Spanish society due to its social and cultural changes with the objective of eliminating the prejudices and damages of women by the mere fact of being it, being the woman in inferriority with respect to the man and with certain difficulties especially in the labor scope.
With this advance in Spain, the aim is to eradicate the existence of gender inequality in all areas, not only in labor but also in social, political and cultural. It is true in any case that the most revealing change that occurred in the field of labor law was the entry of women into the labor market, bear in mind that women could not join an accupation until 1975. With this example, we observe that the female group has always had impediments at the time of positioning it self like a man, especially in the workplace. In order to respond to the question raised about the existence of effective equality in the judicial field, an analysis of the applicable regulations in terms of equality will be carry out, in addition to study the data and information obtained on the judicial career concerning equality of gender.
For all these reasons, this work is justified by the regulations that are applied to the judiciary and the data that corroborate the existence of gender discrimination in the judiciary.
