Autoedición como alternativa a la edición tradicional

Abstract

La autoedición ha ganado protagonismo últimamente como recurso de muchos escritores a la hora de editar sus libros. Se suele confundir mucho con la auto publicación y aunque no son lo mismo, quien practica una suele practicar ambas. Es una alternativa muy utilizada que tiene muchas ventajas pero también algunos inconvenientes, porque el trabajo normalmente realizado por varias personas recae solo en el autor de la obra. Este procedimiento difiere mucho de los demás tipos de edición pero es una opción totalmente lícita.

Self-edition has recently gained prominence as a resource for many writers when it comes to editing their books. It is often very much confused with selfpublishing and although they are not the same, those who practice one usually practice both. It is a widely used alternative that has many advantages but also some drawbacks, because the work normally done by several people rests only with the author of the book. This procedure differs greatly from the other types of editing but is a completely lawful option and chosen by more and more authors.
