Abstract:
Existe en Galiza un ritual muy extendido consistente en la preparación y posterior ingesta

There is in Galiza a very widespread ritual consisting of the preparation and subsequent
intake of a concoction, the queimada . Although the most common use has no other
intention than play and celebration, there are situations in which it acquires different
connotations, linked to the invocation of ancestry, the memory of those who are not there
or as an element linked to the historical saudade of a country of migrants.
The conxuro that accompanies its preparation has a clear patriarchal bias that delves into
the intention of social control of any sexual and reproductive dissidence. For this it 'burns'
witches, meigas, menciñeiras and other paganized figures in the flames of the queimada .
Taking as a framework the concept of tentactives , which links with the reading of Fernand
Deligny's “attempts” developed by Marina Garcés, the situated knowledge of Donna
Haraway and the rewritings and invocations to the art of Gloria Anzaldúa, an approach to
the ritual is proposed through a fanzine in 5 chapters that combines narrative and poetic
texts with quotes and still images taken from the videos that are presented at the end of
each of them by a QR code
