The digital era has brought about many changes such as innovation in the elaboration of
contents. The introduction of social networks in the media has allowed journalists to acquire
new skills to effectively take advantage of new platforms.
The key is to adapt television journalism to the Internet. Progressively, communication
professionals are increasingly betting on formats such as virtual reality allowing the user to
live a totally immersive and interactive experience. The development of devices in this
format has led to a boom in the creation of content that will attract the public to a new
market that is only beginning to develop, especially in a time when information
consumption habits are evolving, increasingly oriented towards the digital environment and
the mobile.
The following work exposes and analyzes the changes and innovations that social networks
have produced in the journalistic profession. Production systems, contents or business
models have been the main protagonists of this change in the new interactive scenario. For
this, the analysis starts with the documentation and observation of the different innovations
of two audiovisual media that use technological tools to inform. The selected media have
been the 93 metros producer and the RTVE Laboratory.
Through a comparative study, the formats, contents and strategies of production and
distribution of both media are examined, as well as the evolution they have undergone
through the innovations. The methodology used includes in-depth interviews with different
professional profiles of the journalistic sector specialized in this topic to know what the
journalist's implications are, what languages and narratives incorporate these formats.
