The article attempts to define the concept of festivals and
festivities in general and, in particular, the Mediterranean
festivity’s concept, especially the Moors and Christians festivity,
with the aim of study its foundations, values, antiquity and
traditions and differentiating the party from a simple solemnity.
Moreover, it is considered what the right size of each festivity
should be, as the importance it has, in terms of the duration,
space and number of celebrants.
