Analysis of a protocol for the integrative evaluation of ADHD in two clinical cases. Attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) is currently one of the most common childhood onset disorders, affecting 5% of children and adolescents according to DSM-5. Assessment processes in the clinical area do not always objectively measure the components that may interfere with this disorder: sustained attention, selective attention, and executive control. The main goal of this study was to show the need for an integrative and complete intentional assessment protocol through two cases. The reason for consultation in both cases was the assessment of ADHD after low academic results. It is composed of objective and specific measures of attention, including DIVISA, CSAT and TACI, which evaluate selective, sustained attention and executive control, and not only scales answered by parents and teachers. The protocol also evaluates intellectual performance and emotional and / or behavioral symptoms. The results of this study indicate that the same behavior of neglect has very similar consequences but predisposing and different diagnoses. The discussion outlines the importance of understanding these tests in a global manner, while addressing the importance of analyzing the divergent aspects in order to carry out a successful ADHD assessment and diagnosis.
