Museari. La motivación, función y poder del arte LGTBIQ+ para transformar la sociedad

Abstract

Museari Museu de Imaginari, es un museo virtual que cada mes suma a sus contenidos, la exposición de siete obras de un artista comprometido con los principios de la entidad, la defensa de los derechos humanos y de la diversidad sexual. Encontramos una colección permanente que sólo puede visitarse online. Durante los tres meses de verano, tenemos la oportunidad de presenciar en instituciones valencianas de reconocido prestigio, las obras expuestas los meses anteriores, e intercambiar experiencias con los artífices de las obras que forman parte de la colectiva anual, en forma de visitas guiadas, conferencias, coloquios, performances entre otras actividades. Museari expone obras relacionadas con el arte LGTBIQ+ y alrededor de esta temática, implementa innovaciones educativas, que promueven la convivencia y el equilibrio social consecuente con la necesidad de involucrarse y avanzar en su visibilidad. Museari es un espacio de accesibilidad global, con ambición deslocalizada, un entorno apto para generar reflexiones estéticas y educativas, que expone la obra de artistas de entidad activista, procedentes de los cinco continentes. Con Antonio M. Nogués Pedregal como tutor y bajo la dirección de D. Pablo Tejero y D. Ricard Huerta, queremos estudiar Museari como un todo, como una unidad. Será esta colección museográfica y su colección permanente, el eje para tratar de conocer mediante el centenar de artistas expuestos, la motivación, función y poder del arte LGTBIQ+ para transformar la sociedad. La producción y gestión de bienes artísticos y culturales va destinada a la construcción de significados sociales. La selección de sus trabajos y exposiciones están a cargo de Germán Navarro y Ricard Huerta. Ambos son los responsables de la reunión de elementos con alto valor e importancia histórica, artística, natural y étnica, y encargados de clasificar las obras, con vocación de preservarlas y exponerlas permanentemente al público. En el presente estudio vamos a entrevistar, conocer, estudiar y, con ellos reflexionar sobre las aportaciones de los artistas que exponen en Museari. Queremos construir el carácter identitario de los sujetos sociales y políticos; género, sexualidad, clase, nacionalidad, y someterlo a diferentes medidores, entre otros, la presencia en los medios de comunicación como canales indispensables para visibilizar el discurso y completar el ciclo entre artista/espectador. También tratamos de responder a la hipótesis ¿puede el arte LGTBIQ+ transformar la sociedad? Creemos que, como individuos, al menos en los estados democráticos, ejercemos nuestro derecho a decidir en las urnas, pero el cambio social y la mejora del estado de bienestar, se manifiesta, se reivindica, se consigue cada día, con actitud, activismo y presión social, independientemente del gobierno que intenta dirigirlo. Los más grandes logros de la humanidad, no son obra de una única legislatura, de un solo gobierno, de una tendencia ideológica, de una corriente más o menos global. El motor de la historia son las guerras, pero en un mundo civilizado, son muchos los engranajes que pueden hacer historia y como parte de ella está el arte, y concretamente el arte LGTBIQ+ como herramienta política para fomentar el pensamiento crítico y transformar el orden social.

Museari Museu de l'Imaginari, is a virtual museum that every month adds to its contents, the exhibition of seven works of an artist committed to the principles of the organization, the defense of human rights and sexual diversity. We find a permanent collection that can only be visited online. It is an added value, during the three summer months, to have the opportunity to see the works exhibited the previous months in Valencian institutions of recognized prestige and exchange experiences with the creators of the works that are part of the annual collective, in the form of guided tours, lectures, discussions, performances and other activities. Museari exhibits works related to LGTBIQ+ art and around this theme, implements educational innovations that promote coexistence and social balance consistent with the need to get involved and advance their visibility. Museari is a space of global accessibility, with delocalized ambition, a suitable environment to generate aesthetic and educational reflections, which exhibits the work of artists of activist entity, from the five continents. With Antonio M. Nogués Pedregal as tutor and under the direction of Pablo Tejero and Ricard Huerta, we want to study Museari as a whole, as a unit. It will be this museographic collection and its permanent collection, the axis to try to know through the hundred artists exhibited, the motivation, function and power of LGTBIQ+ art to transform society. The production and management of artistic and cultural goods is aimed at the construction of social meanings. The selection of their works and exhibitions are in charge of the couple formed by Germán Navarro (Professor at the University of Zaragoza) and Ricard Huerta (Professor at the University of Valencia). Both are responsible for the collection of elements with high historical, artistic, natural and ethnic value and importance, and are in charge of classifying the works, with the aim of preserving them and exhibiting them permanently to the public. In this study we will interview, get to know, study and, with them, reflect on the contributions of the artists exhibiting at Museari. We want to construct the identity character of the social and political subjects; gender, sexuality, class, nationality, and submit it to different meters, among others, the presence in the media as indispensable channels to make the discourse visible and complete the cycle between artist/spectator. We will also try to respond to the hypothesis that, from beginning to end, underlies this case study: can LGTBIQ+ art transform society? We believe that, as individuals, at least in democratic states, we exercise our right to decide at the ballot box, but social change and the improvement of the welfare state, is manifested, is claimed, is achieved every day, with attitude, activism and social pressure, regardless of the government that tries to lead it. The greatest achievements of humanity are not the work of a single legislature, of a single government, of an ideological tendency, of a more or less global current. The engine of history is wars, but in a civilized world, there are many gears that can make history and as part of it is art, and specifically LGTBIQ+ art as a political tool to promote critical thinking and transform the social order.
