Due to the current state of health of adolescents, it is proposed from the pedagogical approach to work with them in physical education classes through the interpersonal style of autonomy support, a method in which the teacher offers more possibilities to the students. Thus, the objectives of the study were twofold: to carry out a literature search on the style of autonomy support and to propose an intervention programme based on this review. To this end, the Scopus, Dialnet, Researchgate, Google Scholar, Pubmed and SciELO databases were consulted. After the review of the autonomy support style in which 12 articles were selected, it was found that it improves intrinsic motivation and transcendence to practice, as well as obtaining a better academic performance, in addition to achieving a significant impact on basic psychological needs. As a general conclusion, the study shows the benefits of using the interpersonal style of autonomy support in physical education classes, addressing physical fitness within the health education model
