Technology has taken on a crucial strategic role, being considered as unparalleled educational tools. Access to and use of information and communication technologies (ICT) are related to academic performance. Adolescents facing gaps in access to technology may encounter difficulties in keeping up with the digital curriculum and in developing the digital skills and competencies necessary to succeed in current education. This way, the objective of this project is double: understanding the relationship between technological inequalities in the teen era, and how this affect the educational performance in high school students, designing an educational experience that leads to minimize technological inequalities in high school stage. To do this, 6 scientific articles from three databases have been studied: Scopus, Web of Science and Psicodoc. These studies showed that a significant proportion of adolescents do not have access to electronic devices, computers and the Internet at home. In turn, it is found that the type of use, the frequency and the perception of difficulty are disparate throughout the population. An inferential analysis reveals that access and certain uses of ICT are related to academic performance, transferring the inequality found to this variable.
