Emotional dependency (DE) in relationships is currently a widely discussed term among young people. DE is defined as an excessive need for affection that a person feels towards their partner and is characterized by topographies such as fear of loneliness, abandonment, high worry and difficulties in emotional regulation. The aim of this study is to design a proposal for the prevention of DE in couple relationships from Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) in university students aged 18 to 25 years. The proposed program would be carried out in a group format and has 7 sessions in which, in addition to DE, both its relationship with the attachment style and with the myths of romantic love are addressed. To evaluate the effectiveness of this program, the "Acceptance and Commitment Questionnaire – II" (AAQ-II), the Valuing Questionnaire (VQ) and the "Romantic Love Myths Scale" (SMRL) have been selected. Through this program, it is expected to increase the cognitive flexibility of the participants, as well as to make them experientially exposed to how they experience ED.
