Resumen :
In this work, an e cient procedure for the design of compact H-plane rectan- gular waveguide band-pass lters including an integrated coaxial excitation is presented. In contrast to classical H-plane lters, where additional input/output boxed cavities are needed to implement the coaxial excitation of the component that usually results in bulky designs, a more compact solution is achieved in this contribution by taking advantage of the resonant behavior of the cited additional cavities. The design strategy, which is based on the well-known Ag- gressive Space Mapping technique, combines a segmentation of the lter with the use of an equivalent circuit model of the component. The e ciency and accuracy of the proposed approach have been successfully validated with the design of a 7-pole Chebyshev band-pass lter operating in the Ku-band. Keywords: H-plane lters, band-pass lters, aggressive space mapping, coaxial excitation.
