Shakespeare. Adaptaciones cinematográficas de Romeo y Julieta y el papel de la mujer en ellas

Abstract

Este proyecto tiene como objetivo analizar y comparar la obra literaria de William Shakespeare llamada Romeo y Julieta con cuatro adaptaciones cinematográficas diferentes. Además, se llevará a cabo un análisis de la representación de la mujer en cada época en la que se sitúan las películas. Las cuatro películas que se estudiarán son: Romeo y Julieta, dirigida por George Cukor en 1936; Romeo + Julieta, adaptada por el australiano Baz Luhrmann en 1996; Step Up. Bailando, una versión estadounidense dirigida por Anne Fletcher en 2006, y Gnomeo y Julieta, una versión animada dirigida por Kelly Asbury en 2011.

This project aims to analyze and compare William Shakespeare's literary work, Romeo and Juliet, with four different film adaptations. In addition, an analysis will be carried out on the representation of women in each era in which the films are set.
