Abstract:

The purpose of this work is to select Muchamiel tomato improvement lines, with resistance to ToMV, TYLCV and TSWV, which have a lower linkage load on chromosome 6, where the Ty-1 gene is found, and which have a good productive and quality performance.
After the experimentation and analysis of the results in the recombinant families, there was still variability between the plants, so those that were considered most interesting due to production, average weight and shape of the fruits were selected. The increase in average weight of the fruits of several of the selected plants with respect to the UMH1200 breeding line is noteworthy. The plants with the highest average fruit weight will be cultivated in the spring-summer cycle of 2023 to confirm the results obtained.
