La implementación de la alfabetización mediática en España y en la Comunidad Valenciana

Abstract

La alfabetización mediática es la capacidad de acceder a los medios de comunicación y de comprender y evaluar sus contenidos; además, permite aportar contenido de manera inteligente, tanto en línea (on line) como fuera de línea (off line). La importancia de esta cuestión ha llevado a la Unión Europea a recomendar a los países miembros introducirla en las escuelas. En España, la alfabetización mediática ha ido tomando protagonismo creciente. El objetivo del presente trabajo es comprobar la implementación en la Comunidad Valenciana a través del estudio de la normativa educativa aplicable y de los estudios más recientes y relevantes.

Media literacy is the ability to access the media and to understand and evaluate its content; In addition, it allows you to contribute content in an intelligent way, both online and offline. The importance of this issue has led the European Union to recommend that member countries introduce it in schools. In Spain, media literacy has been taking on a growing role. This makes it necessary to investigate in an exploratory way the way in which the subject is being implemented in the educational system. The present investigation has such a general objective. For this, a qualitative research based on semi-structured interviews has been carried out. From them, useful conclusions are drawn to advance in the evaluation of how the subject "Media and understanding of information" is being introduced in the Spanish educational system.
