Análisis estético de la filmografía de Wes Anderson

Abstract

Este Trabajo de fin de grado desarrolla un análisis desde una perspectiva estética de las diez películas que forman la filmografía del director de cine estadounidense Wes Anderson, desde 1996 hasta 2021. Hemos investigado sobre el concepto ‘estética’ aplicado al mundo cinematográfico, pudiendo encontrar muchas maneras de analizar los diferentes aspectos de una sola obra audiovisual. Este trabajo aplica un método inductivo en dos fases basado en la estadística por el que, a partir del análisis de una sola película, se consigue interpretar toda la filmografía sin llegar al análisis exhaustivo de cada uno de los films. Del mismo modo, experimentamos con el uso de la tecnología como apoyo al análisis estético de la paleta cromática representativa de cada película a través del algoritmo K-Means.

This thesis develops an analysis from an aesthetic perspective of the ten films that make up the filmography of American film director Wes Anderson, from 1996 to 2021. We have investigated the concept of 'aesthetics' applied to the cinematographic world, being able to find many ways to analyze the different aspects of a single audiovisual work. This work applies a two-phase inductive method based on statistics whereby, from the analysis of a single film, it is possible to interpret the entire filmography without going to the exhaustive analysis of each film. In the same way, we experiment with the use of technology to support the aesthetic analysis of the representative chromatic palette of each film through the K-Means algorithm.
