There are currently no curative treatments for Alzheimer's disease (AD), but it is certain that there are other means that can create a benefit both for the person suffering from the disease and to alleviate the burden that this disease means for the caregiver.
In most cases, the caregiver does not have sufficient information about the disease or lacks previous experience in caring for a person with AD, because in most cases the main caregivers are relatives of these people.
It is for this reason that it is necessary to raise awareness of the different types of support products that can help these people. Gradually, assistive devices, defined as any product used by or for people with disabilities to facilitate participation, protect, support, train, measure or replace body functions/structures and activities; or prevent impairments and limitations in activity, have been gaining an important role in Alzheimer's disease. We can affirm that the knowledge of support products in dementia is one of the priorities in social and health care both in the present and in the future.
Therefore, the main objective of this work has been to design a catalog of accompaniment in the process of AD to caregivers and family members to reduce misinformation and guide in the disease, considering that the structure is clear and readable for different caregivers and family members.
