The following work has the objective of showing an intervention proposal for parents that have children with the Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD). This proposal comes from the principles of the programs Family Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (FCBT), cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) and Psychoeducation plus relaxation training (PRT), which have been supported by different studies with parents of patients that suffer from OCD. This program is destined to parents of children and teenagers with OCD, who are following a psychological treatment. For those 5 psychoeducational sessions and 2 monitoring sessions will be conducted, by this way the participants could acquire the necessary strategies and abilities to the treatment adhesion of the patient. By this way, including the instruments for the validation of the intervention effects, there are Family Accommodation Scale for Obsessive–Compulsive Disorder Interviewer Rated (FAS-IR), the Children’s Yale-Brown Obsessive Compulsive Scale (CYBOCS), the Child Behaviour Checklist (CBCL) and a semi structured interview. The principal contribution of this program is making an intervention proposal for a rare child OCD manifestation and underserved in prior treatment protocols.
