Rare diseases are characterized by high mortality among sufferers and low prevalence. In Spain, they affect more than 3 million people. In most cases, this different health condition is accompanied by a high level of dependence, which is assumed by the parents of these children. Therefore, the aim of this work was to design an intervention program aimed at parents of children with rare diseases to improve their psychological well-being. It also works on acceptance, acquisition of assertive skills, quality time with the couple, emotional intelligence, self-esteem and problem solving. The program is divided into a total of 8 sessions lasting approximately 90 minutes and held weekly. In order to analyze the effectiveness of the program, a pre and post intervention evaluation will be carried out, as well as a six-month follow-up on the main variables of change. It is expected that the program will yield positive results. If so, it would be appropriate to disseminate it to similar organizations to ensure that this group feels listened to and accompanied at all times.
