Throughout history, human beings have adapted to different situations, some simpler than others. Times have changed a lot since the appearance of the internet and new technologies, and this has allowed humanity to improve in terms of the transmission of content and ideas. In this last decade, we have witnessed a massive growth in the use of social networks, which has allowed the world population to stay connected. In short, the internet and social networks make our work easier and often provide us with a distraction from reality, something very necessary during the coronavirus health crisis. The main objective of this work has been to show to what extent social networks can be useful in our day to day. Through an exhaustive monitoring of the social network Twitter, it has been shown that the use of the platform during the confinement in Spain increased considerably and that, in addition, many professionals, companies, students, politicians, researchers and the general population have used of it to communicate all kinds of relevant information about the pandemic. It is verified, through a prolonged study of the activity on Twitter during the quarantine in our country, that many have used the advantages of the network for their purposes. This research work is divided into 8 chapters that deal with the most relevant issues in Spain during the State of Alarm, as well as being supported by 8 Power Point presentations with screenshots of the publications found on the social network. All of the work has been verified by going to different sources of information to assure the reader of the veracity of the published content.
