The following clinical case to be presented illustrates the assessment and intervention of a fifthteen years old teenager with obsessive-compulsive disorder. It started during the pandemic caused by the COVID-19. The anxiety levels were carried out using the STAI questionnaire, the depression degree with BDI-II and the severity of TOC with Y-BOCS. The patient presented intrusive thoughts about being infected of the new disease and being the cause of the demise of his relatives, as well as distorted thoughts regarding the responsibility of his family`s health. The techniques were psychoeducation, exposure therapy and ritual prevention, relaxation, cognitive restructuration, and relapse prevention. The therapeutical targets were reducing obsessions, compulsions, and cognitive, physiological, and motor responses in relation to the pandemic and the possible infection, decreasing the frequency of hygiene and disinfection rituals, and adequate the responsibility of his family. It had a duration of eighteen weeks and consisted of twenty sessions of about one hour. There was a relapse in the middle of the follow-up, however at the ending of therapy, the patient presented a significant reduction of obsessions and compulsions, although there is still a significant amount of concern for the health of his family.
