YouTube is currently the company par excellence in sharing audiovisual content. The
wide variety of movie clips, TV shows, music videos and amateur content such as
videoblogs and Gaming that it presents makes this platform reach a very wide
audience spanning a very wide age range.
Users who create content are commonly called 'Youtubers', these get much of the
benefits of advertising they show in their videos, depending on how many followers
they see. This can be a problem if the advertising and marketing that makes the
‘youtuber' for the brand does so through a minor.
For this reason, in this Final Degree Paper the presence of minors on YouTube, social
networks and as legal guardians and companies with advertising interests use these as
a marketing tool is analyzed. It also discusses the concept of 'Youtubers' minors. In this
way, it will be possible to verify the impact of the content published on this website,
the presence of YouTuber minors and their scope, the legality of the situation, as well
as the consequences that this work may have for minors and parents.
