La expresividad del maquillaje en la fotografía

Abstract

Las fotografías nos permiten contar historias a través de diferentes elementos. Gracias a ellas, somos capaces de transmitir al espectador millones de sensaciones y sentimientos. En este trabajo se ve expuesto un proyecto personal fotográfico, en el cual mediante ocho fotografías y el uso del maquillaje, la ambientación y la iluminación como elementos expresivos, reflejamos las diferentes personalidades y sentimientos de la modelo que, en este caso coincide con la autora. Las fotografías son desarrolladas y explicadas una a una. En ellas se analizan y justifican todos los elementos que participan en la imagen como el tipo de luz, la simbología del color en la fotografía, el decorado y el maquillaje. A través de ocho autorretratos se representan diferentes estereotipos femeninos con los que se propone transmitir las personalidades propuestas por la autora. El proyecto funciona a la vez como una breve “crítica” a la sociedad sobre los prejuicios y cómo se definen los individuos según la influencia de sus características físicas

Photographs allow us to tell stories through different elements. Thanks to them, we are able to transmit millions of sensations and feelings to the viewer. In this work a personal photographic project is exposed, in which through eight photographs and the use of makeup, setting and lighting as expressive elements, we reflect the different personalities and feelings of the model which, in this case, coincides with the author. The photographs are developed and explained one by one. In them, all the elements that participate in the image are analyzed and justified, such as the type of light, the symbolism of color in the photography, the decoration and the makeup. Through eight self-portraits, different female stereotypes are represented with which it is proposed to convey the personalities proposed by the author. The project works at the same time as a brief "critique" of society about prejudices and how individuals define themselves according to the influence of their physical characteristics.
