Revisión de contenidos didácticos y planificación de actividades relacionadas con la conservación de la biodiversidad en ESO y Bachillerato

Abstract

La biodiversidad define la complejidad de un ecosistema así como la variedad de ecosistemas presentes en el planeta. Además, cuanta más biodiversidad existe, más resilientes son estos ecosistemas ante cambios y perturbaciones, y más consolidados quedan los servicios ecosistémicos que la naturaleza produce a nuestro favor. El presente Trabajo Fin de Máster tiene como finalidad estudiar el concepto de pérdida de biodiversidad en las aulas. Centrado en las presentes leyes y técnicas educativas, trata de hacer una aproximación a las diferentes formas en que se transmite este saber en dos niveles educativos a lo largo del tiempo. Desde el año 2002, se ha realizado una revisión bibliográfica de un total de doce libros de texto en la que se ha tenido en cuenta al alumnado de 4º de ESO y 1º de Bachillerato, y el contenido de las asignaturas de su currículo correspondiente: ‘Biología y Geología’ y ‘Biología, Geología y Ciencias Ambientales’. Aunque se investiga la pérdida de biodiversidad en diferentes etapas educativas, este saber no ha tenido la misma implicación y representación en los dos niveles. Además, los ODS vinculados a este concepto mostraron una distribución irregular tanto en las dos etapas como en el periodo de tiempo estudiado. Los recursos se amoldan en gran medida al cambio de paradigma que la Unión Europea y la actual ley educativa (LOMLOE) exigen, sin embargo, en este trabajo también se han planteado propuestas de actividad pedagógica. En conclusión, se presenta un análisis exhaustivo de las estrategias pedagógicas empleadas en la actualidad para educar sobre la pérdida de biodiversidad con el propósito de preparar al alumnado para enfrentar los retos actuales y futuros vinculados a este saber.

Biodiversity defines the complexity of an ecosystem as well as the variety of ecosystems present on the planet. Also, the more biodiversity there is, the more resilient these ecosystems are to changes and disturbances, and the more consolidated are the ecosystem services that nature produces for us. The purpose of this Master's thesis is to study the concept of biodiversity loss in classrooms. Focusing on current laws and educational techniques, it attempts to approach the different ways in which this knowledge is transmitted at two educational levels over time. Since 2002, a bibliographical review of a total of twelve textbooks has been carried out, taking into account students in the 4th year of ESO and 1st year of Bachillerato, and the content of the subjects in their corresponding curricula: ‘Biology and Geology’ and ‘Biology, Geology and Environmental Sciences’. Although biodiversity loss is investigated at different educational stages, this knowledge has not had the same involvement and representation at both levels. Furthermore, the ODs linked to this concept showed an uneven distribution both in the two stages and in the time period studied. The resources are largely in line with the paradigm shift required by the European Union and the current education law (LOMLOE); however, this work has also put forward proposals for pedagogical activity. In conclusion, an exhaustive analysis is presented of the pedagogical strategies currently used to educate about biodiversity loss with the aim of preparing students to face the current and future challenges linked to this knowledge.
