Nowadays new technologies are increasing their presence in our daily lives, and along with them, social networks are becoming a great way to distribute information. They are definitely becoming the media of the future. With this scenario, it is, therefore, necessary to build a Social Media presence and craft a good communication strategy in order to make our product more attractive and close to people. Being present in these new social platforms is just as important as creating a good strategy that brings something new. As consumers have the feeling that everything is invented already and they are tired of the same things, they constantly demand new types of content and new ways to distribute it. That is why I have decided to carry out a Transmedia Project for CreaTV UMH, the cultural and educational TV channel aimed at the student community. My objective was to reach with our content as many people as possible and to discover the platforms that are being used by our target audience. The idea is to adapt all types of content found at CreaTV UMH web to a format that is more appealing to the audience, plus adding more information so that students can visit this website attracted by its content offer. However, the content made for Social Media must not reproduce exactly the information on the web - this must only complement the web’s content, so that the user would not have the feeling of seeing repeated content. To do so, first, we carried out a search of websites with similar content to ours, such as free TV channels with the same target audience, in order to get familiar with what other platforms are offering and get some inspiration. From there, we analyzed our target audience and decided which SM channels would be more suitable for creating a profile in order to reach our audience. Once we knew the social media channels in which we wanted to have a presence, we started crafting the communication strategy to be carried out in each channel. After establishing the strategy for each SM channel, we created a profile in each one (Twitter, Facebook and Instagram). We then start building a community, so we could start publishing having a minimum number of followers. We start posting the content we had previously designed for this project. After publishing for a few weeks, we had enough presence on the Internet to start monitoring our success, taking several factors into account, such as the content posted, the time of publication, etc. Finally, from the study of these posts, we came to certain conclusions that will be explained in this transmedia project for CreaTV UMH.
