The present investigation has for object of study the television news. The objective of this Final Degree Project is to analyze the information product to identify the needs and consumption demands of the public between 15 and 36 years of age. New technologies have generated a change in access to information by new generations. The rhythms and channels of consumption or the audiovisual language have also been altered, among other things. When detecting a decrease in the number of young viewers, this TFG aims to offer a solution: how to adapt the news to the needs of the millennials. Therefore, in addition to the study of innovative practices in national and international news, results are exposed through the use of qualitative and quantitative methodologies: participant observation in the Atresmedia studies; answers of interviews with several journalists of said means of communication; a focus group with professionals in the sector; and, the results of a consultation with about 200 young people about their information preferences. Finally, an innovative proposal of television news is exposed. It is one of the different alternatives that can be conjugated to give way to an informative product that expires among the youngest layers of society. The reinvention of the news is already a necessity.
