La mujer periodista en el ámbito deportivo

Abstract

Con el presente trabajo de fin de grado, se tiene como propósito saber y dar a conocer que, a pesar de la demanda que ha habido en estos últimos años sobre la información deportiva en los medios de comunicación, la mujer sigue sin tener reconocimiento por su trabajo dentro de esta especialización. El periodismo deportivo es una de las ramas a la que más se le acusa de discriminar o infravalorar a las mujeres, valiéndose de estereotipos o imágenes que la dañan. Son muchas las diferencias cuantitativas y cualitativas entre ambos sexos. Existe una balanza que se inclina a favor de los hombres en cuanto a informaciones deportivas se refiere. Si ellos escogen las noticias de mayor audiencia, a ellas se les atribuye las de “menor importancia”. Al analizar los tres medios de comunicación; prensa, radio y televisión, se observa que la presencia de las mujeres tanto en calidad como cantidad de las funciones que realizan dentro de una redacción es menor a la de los hombres. Además de ello, se pretende investigar el motivo por el que cada vez más disminuyen en las redacciones las mujeres veteranas con una larga y admirable trayectoria profesional para dar paso a chicas jóvenes, con un determinado canon de belleza y sin los conocimientos requeridos para trabajar en el ámbito deportivo. A pesar de vivir en el siglo XXI, donde supuestamente es la era de la tecnología y con una sociedad de mentalidad abierta, sigue existiendo machismo y otros términos que van en contra de la mujer. Por todo ello, es fundamental que la mujer traspase las barreras que le impiden que desarrolle su trayectoria profesional y que se iguale la balanza entre ambos sexos. La mujer no solo “plancha, friega y hace la comida”, sino que somos mucho más y hay que concienciar a la sociedad del papel que realmente sabe desempeñar para que de una vez por todas acabemos con esta lacra.

Therefore, it is essential for women to overcome the barriers that prevent them from developing their career path and to balance the balance between men and women. Women not only "iron, scrub and make food", but we are much more and we must make society aware of the role it really plays so that once and for all we end this.
