The disappearances of people are a taboo subject, especially in Spain. Around miles of people disappear every year in our country, most without leaving a trace. Some of them appear repetitively for months, even years, in the media, while others often received media attention or police. From the various non-profit associations on missing persons demand equality between all the disappeared, which is not treated in the same way. Since the media is one of the fundamental tools in the dissemination of missing persons, this information inequality has placed them at the center of criticism. Everything that is in the absence of a protocol that ethically and decon- trolly regulates the information on the disappearances of people, has made this subject a challenge for journalists when it comes to informing. In addition, informing about disappearances often involves knowledge of law and law by information professionals, which is crucial for quality journalism. In this way, in the following work we have chosen the cases that have been studied, analyzing the number of times that appeared in the media and with what continuity, to determine the reasons that keep one another in the media focus, Y If it is true that there is an informative differentiation between them. Some of the media that have chosen El País, El Mundo, La Vanguardia or La Razón, among others, all in their digital versions, and television channels such as Antena 3, Telecinco, La Sexta and TVE.
