Abstract:
Trata de definir el concepto de fiesta en general, y en particular
de las fiestas mediterráneas, especialmente la de Moros
y Cristianos, estudiando sus fundamentos, valores, antigüedad
y tradiciones.
Se diferencia la fiesta de lo que es una simple solemnidad.
Asimismo, se contempla cómo debe ser el tamaño adecuado
de cada fiesta, tanto en duración y espacio como en
número de festejantes.
The article attempts to define the concept of festivals and
festivities in general and, in particular, the Mediterranean
festivity’s concept, especially the Moors and Christians festivity,
with the aim of study its foundations, values, antiquity and
traditions and differentiating the party from a simple solemnity.
Moreover, it is considered what the right size of each festivity
should be, as the importance it has, in terms of the duration,
space and number of celebrants.
