| es_ES |
| dc.description.abstract | Introduction: Unwanted loneliness and burden in family caregivers are priority issues in Primary Care. They are closely linked to the risk of caregiver burnout, biopsychosocial deterioration, and overmedicalization. Given this, social prescribing emerges as an effective non-pharmacological alternative aimed at community empowerment. Objective: To evaluate the effectiveness of a Family and Community Nursing intervention, based on social prescribing and group support, in reducing loneliness and caregiver burden among primary caregivers attached to the Archena Health Center (Murcia, Spain). Methods: A quantitative, prospective, and quasi-experimental (pre-post) study with a non-randomized control group. Using consecutive sampling, 60 primary caregivers will be selected and equally distributed into two arms (30 experimental and 30 control). The experimental group will receive a program consisting of 6 weekly group sessions focused on mutual support, health asset mapping, and linkage to community resources. The control group will continue with the standard individual follow-up in primary care consultations. Measurements will be taken at baseline (T0) and post-intervention (T1) using the UCLA Loneliness Scale, the Zarit Burden Interview, the Duke-UNC Functional Social Support Questionnaire, and an ad hoc sociodemographic profile. Data will be analyzed using Jamovi software, applying descriptive and inferential statistics (intra- and inter-group comparisons and regression models). Expected results: A statistically significant reduction in loneliness and caregiver burden is expected in the experimental group compared to the control group, demonstrating the viability of a proactive and community-centered care model. | es_ES |
