| es_ES |
| dc.description.abstract | The aim of this work is to analyze the evolution of Restorative Justice from its origins to the present day, through a historical study that serves to interpret the importance of its role in Western democratic societies and to understand the scope of its meaning specifically within police forces. The research begins with a philosophical and chronological overview that situates justice as a social construct adapted to each era, from ancient Mesopotamia to the present day. Subsequently, a classification of versions of justice is proposed to contextualize the restorative approach in relation to other repressive or retributive modalities. The study delves into restorative justice as an ancestral practice of communities that has reemerged in modernity as a commitment to compassion and forgiveness. Through the analysis of illustrative cases in contemporary culture and international cinema, the work evaluates the viability of this paradigm. Finally, the level of awareness and permeability of the restorative discourse within the Security Forces and Corps is examined. | es_ES |
