Las embajadas: repaso histórico de un fenómeno sincrético y globalizador

Abstract

Desde hace unos años, la fiesta de Moros y Cristianos, vive inmersa en el estudio a nivel global de sus conexiones, principalmente centradas en las representaciones dramáticas que se extendieron al orbe a través del fenómeno colonialista, partiendo de una serie de principios o relatos medievalistas. Ello ha llevado a estudiar el fenómeno de adaptación que han tenido las diferentes comunidades de estos dramas teatrales, tejiendo a su vez sus propias interconexiones. Un fenómeno que también pone su punto de mira en nuestro territorio. No solo en la relación e influencia existente entre las embajadas de una parte destacable de las poblaciones, sino que el ímpetu por parte del pueblo llano por hacer suya la fiesta, les lleva a desarrollar los contrabandos y embajadas secundarias; y, entre ellas, un labrador natural de Benimarfull redactará las primeras en valenciano en el primer tercio del siglo XIX.

For a few years, the Moors and Christians festival has been immersed in the global study of its connections, mainly focused on the dramatic representations that spread to the world through the colonialist phenomenon, based on a series of medievalist principles or stories. This has led to studying the phenomenon of adaptation that the different communities of these theatrical dramas have had, in turn weaving their own interconnections. A phenomenon that also sets its sights on our territory. Not only in the relationship and influence between the embassies of a notable part of the populations, but also the impetus on the part of the common people to make the party their own, leads them to develop contraband and secondary embassies; and, among them, a farmer from Benimarfull wrote the first ones in valencian in the first third of the 19th century .
