Musculoskeletal groin pain is a prevalent condition in soccer players that significantly impacts their performance and quality of life. This study conducted a bibliographic review following the PRISMA guidelines to evaluate the effectiveness of physiotherapeutic treatments in this population, using databases such as PubMed, PEDro, and ScienceDirect. Eleven studies with various methodological designs were included: randomized clinical trials, observational studies, and individual case reports. The results demonstrated the utility of preventive programs based on specific exercises to reduce the incidence of groin pain in youth players. Additionally, therapeutic interventions such as conventional physiotherapy, dry needling, platelet-rich plasma injections, and advanced techniques showed significant improvements in pain and functionality, with recovery times ranging from 6 weeks to 10 months. Case studies highlighted the importance of personalized approaches for individual athletes, while functional assessments identified underlying biomechanical deficits that predispose to recurrences. Although the levels of evidence varied, the findings underscore the need for an integrated approach that combines prevention, treatment, and correction of structural alterations. Methodological heterogeneity and variability in recovery times highlight the need for future research with more robust designs and larger samples. In conclusion, the management of groin pain in soccer players should be multidimensional, tailored to individual characteristics, and aimed at preventing recurrences through integrated preventive and therapeutic strategies.
