Today, the logistics sector faces major challenges in terms of secure connectivity,
and good logistics management has significant benefits for companies. It allows
access to accurate information about materials, reduces costs and optimizes
delivery times. The growing demand for secure and effective real-time
communications has generated an enormous demand for robust and scalable
solutions. This project proposes a network architecture that prioritizes security
while improving the availability of critical communications.
The objective of this project is to design and implement the migration of a logistics
company's network infrastructure using VPNs (Virtual Private Network) and LTE
(Long Term Evolution) technologies. Facilitate business continuity, secure
communication and effective data management for a logistics company in the
province of Catalonia made up of 20 locations.
This project describes the technical specifications of the necessary equipment,
the methodology for managing the access network, detailing the theoretical and
conceptual concepts. In addition, the limitations imposed by the initial network
infrastructure and the improvements achieved in terms of redundancy, security
and scalability are considered.
