The essential concept of this research focuses on making visible the artistic projects of women in Albacete that are currently created and developed by them. Starting from a search for the origins of art and crafts in this geographical area, anchored in different theories and data on entrepreneurship and empowerment with a gender perspective and observing the possible existing grants or subsidies for this type of activities. The main methodology used in this research is a qualitative methodology, with an inductive character and a flexible design, holistic as there is an integrative action where each phase reflects and contains at the same time the dimensions of the totality that comprises it and through an in-depth analysis of cases. The theoretical bases of this work are based on feminist theories of empowerment and intersectional feminism and an approach to the concept of economic violence. With regard to the main results of the different stages of the study, in the first phase we obtain background information on women artists in the area, secondly we show details of five artistic initiatives through a case study, thirdly we find official data on the level of female entrepreneurship in the region of Castilla la Mancha and in the fourth phase we offer results on institutional support for artistic projects. Among the conclusions of this study, the artistic work of women in the region is evidenced, different benefits derived from female entrepreneurship are extracted, it is corroborated that it is a valid way to obtain income and distance themselves from possible economic violence, and finally, the existence of a high level of empowerment channelled through the artistic projects studied is revealed, with a valuable asset underlying all of them: the work created in accordance with their vital impulses.
