Proyecto de preproducción de un cortometraje: Pleamar

Abstract

Este trabajo de final de grado se ideó con el interés de acercar una idea creativa a la realidad, teniendo como objetivo navegar el proceso creativo y técnico requerido a la hora de preparar la producción de un cortometraje. Contiene una sección con los aspectos relativos a la idea creativa como son el “storyline”, el argumento, los personajes o la narrativa; además de una parte con los aspectos más técnicos, como la dirección, la fotografía, las localizaciones o el sonido. Ambos contenidos tienen una gran importancia en el proceso y son igualmente necesarias para asentar una buena base a la hora de preparar la producción de una obra audiovisual. Como producto final y principal resultado del proyecto, se incluyen el guion literario y el guion técnico de la obra. Estos dos apartados se consideran de mayor peso ya que van a ser la guía principal que seguir por parte de los profesionales que constituyan el equipo de producción, sin embargo, su existencia no sería posible o no sería bien comprendida sin los elementos de apoyo comentados anteriormente. Como apartados añadidos al trabajo y para hacerlo más completo, se ha elaborado también un plan de rodaje, un storyboard y un plan de viabilidad. En su conjunto, el proyecto supone un punto de partida sólido para dar el salto a la producción del cortometraje. Durante la realización del trabajo, la herramienta principal que ha servido de apoyo ha sido la plataforma de elaboración de guiones Celtx, la cual ha proporcionado diferentes opciones para la escritura, revisión y edición del guion, haciendo más sencilla esta tarea y permitiendo afinar correctamente la elaboración de este elemento tan relevante del trabajo. Además, el trabajo constituye un reflejo de la influencia de distintas referencias cinematográficas, integrando en su elaboración diferentes recursos obtenidos tanto de obras concretas como de autores, guionistas o directores. Gracias a esto se ha conseguido transmitir de manera eficiente y clara la intencionalidad de la idea creativa inicial en el resultado final. En general, el trabajo ha supuesto un reto a la hora de necesitar transmitir la idea creativa con la mayor claridad y el mayor detalle posibles para hacerlo fácil de comprender e integrar. Si bien los apartados técnicos guardan una gran importancia y dificultad a la hora de elaborarlos; la parte creativa puede ser la más intrincada si no se tiene clara la intencionalidad de la obra y lo que se busca contar o provocar con ella. En conclusión, el trabajo constituye un muy buen punto de partida para comenzar una posible producción de la obra, habiendo asentado correctamente los aspectos tanto técnicos como creativos de la obra haciéndolos accesibles para los posibles profesionales futuros que deban apoyarse en estos documentos para dar el salto a la producción.

This final degree project was conceived with the interest of bringing a creative idea closer to reality, aiming to navigate the creative and technical process required when preparing the production of a short film. It contains a part with the aspects related to the creative idea such as the storyline, the plot, the characters, or the narrative; as well as a part with the more technical aspects, such as direction, photography, locations, or sound. Both parts are of great importance in the process and are equally necessary to lay a good foundation when preparing the production of an audiovisual work. As the final product and main result of the project, the literary script and the technical script of the work are included. These two sections are considered of greater weight since they will be the main guide to be followed by the professionals that make up the production team; however, their existence would not be possible or would not be well understood without the support elements mentioned above. As added sections to the work and to make it more complete, a shooting plan, a storyboard and a feasibility plan have also been elaborated. The project is a solid starting point to take the leap to the production of a short film. During the realization of the work, the main tool that has served as support has been the Celtx script writing platform, which has provided different options for writing, reviewing, and editing the script, making this task easier and allowing to correctly refine the development of this important element of the work. In addition, the work reflects the influence of different cinematographic references, integrating in its elaboration different resources obtained both from specific works and from authors, screenwriters, or directors. Thanks to this, the intentionality of the initial creative idea has been transmitted efficiently and clearly in the result. In general, the work has been a challenge when it came to transmitting the creative idea as clearly and in as much detail as possible to make it easy to understand and integrate. Although the technical sections are very important and difficult to elaborate; the creative part can be the most intricate if the intentionality of the work and what is sought to tell or provoke with it is not clear. In conclusion, the work constitutes a very good starting point to begin a possible production of the work, having correctly established both the technical and creative aspects of the work, making them accessible to possible future professionals who must rely on these documents to make the leap to production.
