We live in a society that is increasingly aware of caring for the environment, reflecting daily the importance of caring for our environment to promote human life. However, there are a multitude of problems generated by the human way of life, from the impact generated on ecosystems, causing loss of biodiversity, to the increase in waste generated.
In 2015, the United Nations proposed the Sustainable Development Goals, with the purpose of helping to care for the planet.
So, the need for environmental education in educational centers is increasingly closer to us, seen as the new Education Law, LOMLOE, (Organic Law 3/2020, of December 29, which modifies the organic law 2/2006, of May 3, on education) makes references to education for sustainable development and citizen education.
There is evidence of the necessity of new methodologies in the classroom, which allow the dissemination of environmental education, involving students in caring for the environment in which we live, from educational centers.
In summary, the objective of this work is to promote sustainability from educational centers through environmental education to adolescents. For this reason, an intervention proposal has been designed for a specific learning situation, composed of five activities, which will help improve motivation in students, to promote social environmental awareness.
