Interest in integrating contemporary art into Secondary and Baccalaureate Education has grown considerably, seeking to enrich the curriculum and foster critical and creative thinking skills. However, it faces challenges such as the lack of adequate educational resources and resistance from some teachers. This project addresses the importance of the didactic function of museums, mainly in Alicante and Valencia, in teaching contemporary art in the school context, enhancing their value as resources for artistic education, providing a unique environment for exploration. and learning contemporary art outside the traditional classroom. With the aim of enriching this research, this review is extended to other institutions both nationally to analyze and contrast the data obtained. Objectives include exploring effective pedagogical strategies for teaching contemporary art to adolescent students and how these strategies can be part of the school curriculum. The aim is to analyze and gather opinions from teachers of Plastic Arts and Drawing in ESO and High School, as well as from professionals from museum institutions, on the methodology for integrating contemporary art in education and its impact on teacher training. The current state of research in this field shows significant growth, with a focus on developing innovative educational methods and evaluating their impact on student learning. At a national and international level, there are research groups dedicated to this topic, collaborating on projects and exchanging good practices.
