This Master's Thesis presents a proposal for an educational intervention to
integrate the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) in education, specifically
in the subject of Economics in the 1st year of Bachelor's Degree, using case
analysis as the main methodology. This work starts from the premise that
education plays a fundamental role in promoting sustainable development, and
that the teaching of economics can be a powerful vehicle to raise students'
awareness of global challenges and foster their commitment to a sustainable
world.
Through a descriptive research based on literature review, this intervention
proposal is based on the existing literature on the importance of the SDGs, their
integration into the educational curriculum and the effectiveness of active
methodologies, while framed within the provisions of the LOMLOE through the
development of key competencies.
It is expected that the implementation of this proposal will contribute to improve
students' understanding of the SDGs, as well as their ability to analyze
economic problems with critical thinking and propose sustainable solutions,forming responsible citizens who are aware of social, economic and environmental challenges.
