Cooperative learning is an educational methodology that promotes collaboration among students to achieve common learning objectives. Its benefits include improved academic performance, the development of social skills, and increased motivation to learn. However, it presents limitations such as potential excessive reliance on peers and difficulty in group management. Collaborative work can be a powerful tool for addressing diversity, as it allows for the adaptation of activities and tasks to meet the individual needs of students, fostering inclusion and participation of all group members. By enabling students to work together in heterogeneous teams, individual strengths can be leveraged and additional support can be provided to those in need. Furthermore, this methodology can help create an inclusive environment where individual differences are valued and mutual respect is promoted. Ultimately, cooperative work is an effective strategy for responding to diversity in classrooms, as it enables adaptation and collaboration among students to achieve academic and personal success. This work includes a proposal for action in the subject of biology and geology for fourth-year compulsory secondary education.
