Given the line of research "The importance of teacher self-knowledge", it is proposed how important self-knowledge is in the work of the teacher, and how the lack of tools leads to a lack of self-knowledge that affects the approach to teaching hours, control of the classroom environment and emotional well-being of teachers. The study was carried out in the IES Azud de Alfeitamí, an educational center located in Almoradí (Alicante), in which 20% of the teaching staff is on medical leave for mental health reasons due to work. Given the problems derived from a high rate of conflict and problems of coexistence in the center, the Center Project (PEC) was proposed by the management as an opportunity to improve the self-knowledge of teachers through Mindfulness and meditation. The objective of the Mindfulness Project is to improve teachers' self-knowledge, so that they know what their tools are when dealing with the classroom environment and time in the center, and can use them efficiently for each specific situation that requires them. To evaluate whether it has given the expected results, a survey was conducted to all teachers, who confirmed that despite being skeptical at the beginning, they know themselves and manage their emotions better, both at work and outside work.
