This study aims to analyze the relationship between the diagnosis of dyslexia and selfesteem through a systematic review of the existing literature from the las 30 years. An exhaustive search was conduted following the PRISMA protocol in the PsycINFO, Science Direct and Web of Science databases. After applying the inclusion criteria, nine relevant studies were selected. The evaluation of the selected articles was carried out using predefined criteria to ensure their quality and relevance. The findings indicate that an early diagnosis of dyslexia, combined withs appropriate educational and psychosocial interventions, is associated with higher levels of selfesteem compared to late diagnoses. The importance of institutional support and the adaptation of teaching methods to improve the self-esteem of individuals with dyslexia is highlighted. Additionally, the support provided by family members and teachers after the diagnosis is crucial for emotional well-being. However, most of the studies used are cross-sectional, which limits the ability to infer causality. The methodological heterogeneity and different cultural contexts of the studies make it difficult to generalize the results. It is suggested that future research focuses on longitudinal studies and the effectiveness of various interventions in different demographic groups to provide a more comprehensive and detailed view of the impact of dyslexia diagnosis on self-esteem.
