The stage of adolescence is considered a critical period due to the multiple physical, psychological, social and affective changes that emerge with the maturation of the individual. Numerous studies highlight the importance of education in emotional intelligence because it plays a crucial role in the evolutionary development of young people. The optimal development of emotional skills leads to an increase in the quantity and quality of social relationships, to an increase in the resolution of intrapersonal and interpersonal conflicts, to greater self-concept and self-esteem, and therefore, to greater emotional well-being. For this reason, the effectiveness of a program structured in 4 sessions where emotional awareness, emotional regulation and assertiveness was carried out with adolescents with high capacities was designed, implemented and evaluated. For this, a sample composed of 25 adolescents (n = 25) with ages between 11 and 18 years. Said participants were evaluated before starting the program and after its completion (pre-test and post-test). The results revealed that none of the study variables obtained a significance level of less than 0.05, so no statistically significant differences were found between the pre-test and the post-test in the levels of self-esteem, empathy and their perception of emotional well-being, emotional self-control. Despite this, there was great satisfaction with the program on the part of the students.
