Una juventud comprometida con las causas sociales: el caso de la Fundación Conciénciate

Abstract

Este Trabajo de Fin de Grado consiste en un reportaje acerca de la implicación de las nuevas generaciones en las causas sociales, como es el caso de la Fundación Conciénciate de Elche. El enfoque se centra en aquellas personas que viven en la calle y carecen de un hogar en el que dormir, descansar o asearse. Se han recogido diferentes testimonios de personas relacionadas con la fundación para comprender las motivaciones que residen detrás del compromiso de la juventud hacia los problemas sociales. Contextualizar sobre la situación de las personas sin hogar a nivel nacional era muy importante para comprender la de Elche. El dispositivo de acogida toma un papel fundamental en este reportaje, pues a través de este centro la fundación colabora y ofrece servicios básicos y necesarios a este grupo social tan vulnerable. Por otro lado, la Administración Pública debe apoyar a entidades sociales como Conciénciate para hacer frente a una parte de la sociedad, en muchas ocasiones, invisibilizada, por lo que también se han conocido qué tipo de ayudas reciben las entidades sociales para hacer frente a los gastos necesarios para solventar o mejorar la calidad de vida de los sintecho.

This Final Degree Project consists of a report on the involvement of new generations in social causes, as is the case of the Conciénciate Foundation in Elche. The focus is on those people who live on the streets and lack a home where they can sleep, rest or wash themselves. Different testimonies have been collected from people related to the foundation in order to understand the motivations behind the commitment of young people to social problems. Contextualizing the situation of homeless people at the national level was very important to understand the situation in Elche. The shelter plays a fundamental role in this report, as through this center the foundation collaborates and offers basic and necessary services to this vulnerable social group. On the other hand, the Public Administration must support social entities such as Conciénciate in order to face a part of society that is often made invisible, which is why we also found out what kind of aid social entities receive in order to meet the expenses necessary to solve or improve the quality of life of homeless people.
