The cognitive behavioral therapy has progressively evolved since the so-called First Wave of Therapies, in which the techniques developed basing on the classical conditioning and on the operant conditioning are to stand out, as well as the Second Wave of Therapies, in which some cognitive and social variables are included, until the current Third Wave of Therapies. Mindfulness stands out among the latter, together with the Acceptance and Commitment Therapy and the Dialectical Behavior Therapy. This project has the objective of carrying out a bibliographic review about the efficacy of mindfulness, either applied in isolation, or as a technique part of a therapeutic package based on therapies of the third wave, for the treatment of several psychological disorders and health problems. The data bases Scopus, Psycarticles, PsicoDoc and Google Scholar have been consulted for the carrying out of the bibliographic review. Studies of empirical methodology have been revised, as well as case studies and meta-analyses included within the clinical psychology discipline, which are comprehended in the time period from 2006 to date. The results bring to light the therapeutic efficacy of mindfulness in several disorders such as depression, bipolar disorder, anxiety and stress, obsessive-compulsive disorder, posttraumatic stress disorder, personality disorders, eating disorders, sleeps disorders, psychotic disorders, chronic pain and other
